Hydrogen
Carbon Energy’s successful 100 day UCG trial at Bloodwood Creek produced a gas mix containing 26% hydrogen. This hydrogen can be used directly in electricity production or can be used to form methane (CH4) or more complex hydrocarbons.
There are currently a number of studies around the world examining hydrogen fuel cells as a power source for vehicles. This emerging industry has the potential to significantly reduce harmful emissions as well as our reliance on oil.
