Liquified Natural Gas
Liquid Natural Gas (LNG) is natural gas that has been temporarily converted to liquid form for ease of storage or transport. LNG takes up about 1/600th the volume of natural gas in the gaseous state.
Converting natural gas to LNG is more efficient as becomes odorless, colorless, non-toxic and non-corrosive.
The reduction in volume makes it much more cost-efficient to transport over long distances where pipelines do not exist. Where moving natural gas by pipelines is not possible or economical. LNG is now becoming the most effective way to import and export natural gas overseas.
