Queensland Coal
With more than 30 billion tonnes of identified resources of black coal in the State, the coal industry is a major contributor to Queensland's economy and the largest exporter of seaborne coal in the world. Coal production reached a record 183 million tonnes (Mt) in 2006-07, including a 153 Mt exported to 33 countries worldwide.
